In fact most models built up into the early 1990's are so well suited that they are one of the few passenger car diesel engines that can be reliably operated on a single fuel tank conversion. That means the vegetable oil goes in the factory tank with no need for a back-up diesel fuel tank. High quality waste vegetable oil (WVO) can be collected (mostly free!) from restaurants, settled, stored, filtered and poured right into the fuel tank.
